Need help with Walbro intall please!!!
Please help the village idiot. I did a search, thought I had this thing ready and am stumped at the sock and how to mount this thing inside...this is what I did, please advise!
So first I took it all apart and you have the big monstrosity at the bottom you gotta take out.

Took my trusty grinder and mauled that bitch down...

I stuck the fuel pump in the carriage and it still didn't lay flat. So I took out the grinder again and took off the tabs...
trying to fasten it was a issue, and read a thread of a feller that drilled holes, I monkey see monkey do that turkey.
and here is where I am stumped. The sock won't fit on the bottom and the gas tank doesn't have baffels so think you have to fold the sock? Do I even have the right sock? and which one is correct?
Do you just fold it??
and if you do just fold it, does it just hang in there like this? Did I mess up the carriage by putting holes in it???
and lastly does it matter what direction it faces??
to those who can help!

my biggest concern is if I did this wrong or not.
A sock should be easy to attain. But, if you put the sock on the outside of the canister and there is no baffles in the tank will it will act funny when the tank is under 1/4 tank?

I Dont remember having to grind anything off but i have a 04 silverado . drilling hole into the bucket is fine it allows fuel to pour into it faster . the sock can be what ever where ever you want as long as enough fuel is getting to it, i folded mine like in your pic as well. my pump is just dangling in the bucket as well some feel the need to zip tie it to something but i didnt and its been fine for 2 years.

yea, this pump is from my Lexus, I switched to the Weldon, so it was just laying around. Guess I fucked myself on that.
I am gonna go to the auto parts store and see what I can find. Happy to see it's not the end of the world here. lol
