New high lift vinci trucker cam
VHP has a new trucker cam! Seen the new cam on their website the other day.
Specs 216/224/ lift 585. 585 lsa 115
vs.
The original trucker cam 216/224/551.551 lsa 115.
Looking for any thoughts on the higher 585 lift cam being a better cam on the 5.3 with mp112 radix. Thanks

That high lift version works out to be the same as using the .551 lift with 1.8 rockers. I can tell you first hand that it works very well with a Radix on a 5.3
And if that would make it to much lift. One day when I get the money for this cam I'm buying it along with some headers and tune thanks

AKlowriderZ71 The .585 lift cam with 1.8 rockers will give you just over .619 valve lift.
Maybe the high lift version is used so you don't need to use the 1.8 rockers?
I may give Vinci a call and see what they recommend. If the higher lift will produce better results than that's what I'm going with.

That's what i was thinking, so is .619 to much valve lift. Just asking cause I thought I read in some other thread that anything over .600 is to much, but I'm not sure about that.

If you want to run the 1.8 roller rockers, use the .551 lift cam. If you want to run the stock rockers, use the high lift version.

Roger Vinci helped me decide how to set up my cam/valvetrain. I wanted roller rockers, so he recommended the 1.8 Crane Gold rockers with the cam in my sig. It's all about the combo, and everybodies combo is just a little different I guess.
