have a month till the track opens......I know the boost vette is going into an event march 9th which means the sub and trailer should be there.......as long as there's someone to drive that should mean just unhook the sub from the trailer, swap the restrictor plate, and send it down the track and see what a big heavy **** can do. Not sure if this track (atco) has a scale or not, every time Ive been there has been on rental days vs. events...eventually I'll find out how really fat my fat *** truck is. (that way I have ammo for excuses )

pretty much the truck is straight out pullied for about 14 pounds of boost, the restrictor plate caps off total CFM but lets the boost come in MUCH harder and quicker for a centrifugal...therefore getting this slug moving...
as for 6200 lbs....my tahoe weighs 5700, I'm thinking 6500+ because side by side this sub totally dwarfs the tahoe just in sheer mass...and the tahoe is 2wd this thing is 4wd

I don't' want to hijack this thread but we just finished installing this kit on my Denali 6.2 and all what i can say is wow, i'll make a new thread with pictures and i'll post some vid for this beast.
What about 0-60 in 5 Sec ?? and top speed 255 = 160 MPH on GPS!!
I'll post every thing in new thread.

I was hanging out at the shop the day 2 kits got packed up for dubai, (maybe friday the 8th of feb or so?) I'm guessing your one of the lucky recipients? I'd imagine it took a while to get over to you guys, I'm guessing you didn't waste any time getting it on the truck. Welcome to the world of boost.
I actually took the sub to the track today. Got 2 runs in. Turns out we had the wrong restrictor plate for 10 pounds with us, so just because doug and I have an overly nuts side, we decided lets put 5 gallons of 100 octane into the truck and just run it wide open. Well first run, in 2wd, amounted to a wicked amount of wheelspin and a 3.1 60 ft (yes most people would let off but when I realized the run was a wash I figured wtf. lets put on a show with a big ugly truck, smoke was billowing from the tires...) Second run was a 14.4 at 94.5 or so, 2.1 60 ft. this time launching in 4hi and switching to 2wd by the top of first. Well instead of shifting at 5500 I saw 12 pounds and 6000 rpms, second gear it was hanging the boost around 5 pounds then jumping to 12 (drive by wire was playing games we think) by third gear I started pedaling it not wanting to blow the truck up. with 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Didn't feel like a strong run at all and I was quite impressed with the slip not being terrible. Through third gear I got some abs lights, the brake light went on, so I'm just guessing the truck went into some sort of WTF is happening mode, never had these headaches at 7 or 9 pounds, but 12 drove it nuts. Next week is working on getting the boost car ready for an event (only reason I ran the truck opening day today since the vette isn't ready) So hopefully respectable numbers at 9-10 pounds like the dyno was should come soon. Just have to see when the schedule will permit some track torture of the towrig.

You are welcome buddy, yes i'm using one of those kits on my car and the second one will go for one of our one of kind project Sierra 1500 with 6.2 motor. First when we start on this project i didn't imagine the outcome of this kit and after seeing your post over here and the good
we still working on the can we just ride 200 mile and each time we feel it doing better and better, the first test the car did 0-60 in 5.6 and after the 1 day I took the car to test it for a top speed and we got 160mile on the GPS (more than enough for me) and then I did 0-60 test and I run 5.01 wow I need to try it with a Porsche Cayenne.

by the way may i ask you what do you mean by restrictor plate? is that something to help you getting more boost? mine is 8 pound and i'm looking to go for 11 pound of boost do i need to do any modification for the motor to go that rute?
Thanks
Thanks

the restrictor plate is a metal insert that goes into the airfilter where it comes in which limits the amount of airflow on the top end (ie max boost keepign your motor together) but still lets it come in strong down low. for 8 pounds I'm thinking you might be running one if you and I have the same size pullies going on.

impressive times for sure.
I'm sorta lost on the boost "creeping" deal with that being a supercharger.. i have had those problems many times on a trubo car but never a blower.. I wonder if its slipping a bet or 2? I had a vortech on a cobra many many many moons ago, it would run 12-13 psi, then out of no where it run up to 18 psi. They always blamed it on the belts, which it ate pretty often... this was like 10 years ago though...
I bet the 6.2 is a lot of fun with the extra power, not to mention you have the 6 speed trans. Those truck run good out of the hole stock.
