Those crazy guys did, if I remember correctly, a one-off 10-rib on a C5. Heh, trucks wouldn't have to move the steering rack to go 10-rib

Thanks Bill, ECS was the company I initially contacted about a truck 8rib 8" setup, long story short, they got the money, I sent my stock crank damper/pulley out to IW, and I got the first truck overdrive 8rib damper/pulley, it ended up being a win/win for me personally and the truck community. The only thing that needed to be figured out after that was the crank bolt/spacer setup and the P/S pulley, which as you know, is a done deal as well

Looks good. Ill keep checking back on this build up.. Some friends of mine has a maggie on a H2, ( same 6.0L with the 4L80e) he also has head and cam. they have broken two input shafts!

If im not mistaken the 07 2500 burbs are 366hp and 388tq stock.. I think they have 18% drive train loss. so im guessing that would put you about 300whp stock... If thats closeto corrrect then im sure those number you posted are good. Most blowers ad 150+ hp..

Just for fun did you look into a turbo kit?

I'm gonna go with more than 18% for drivetrain loss, this engine's rpo code is a lil off I'll have to get energetic and look at the glove compartment. if automatic C5's rated at 350 at teh crank dyno around 290's stock, I severely doubt a 3/4 ton truck and the driveline are gonna dyno equal or higher.

as for going with the blower I was offered a deal I can't refuse on it. Pretty much I've spent more than twice what the suburban cost new on my 3 vettes with ECS. If they said oh btw we're stealing your truck to design a kit, I'm not gonna tell them no. I thought turbos, but underhood heat while towing is a concern, wanted a maggie, but this deal was hard to beat and for a centrifugal it comes in on the low side. Rear mounts, I tried that with the Z, wasn't impressed, never ran the number on the track, just the dyno. Besides I'm not wild about the filter placement on the trucks, I've hydrolocked motors before. This ugly slug is an all weather, all condition, complete daily driver vehicle. I also have a reputation of being a master of destruction. They know if there's a weak point in the system I WILL find it quickly.

you positive he swapped a 4L80 into that H2? they're 4L60's stock, Much easier to snap shafts in a 60 vs. 80, major difference in diameter and durability. My tahoe probably makes more power and hits harder with a 200 shot of nitrous and hasn't hurt input shafts...

Thats what i ment 4l60..

Way off topic here but the new body style 2500 -3/4 ton's they have the 14 bolt rear end.

Ive been looking for a black on black 8100 for ever to trade in my G500.. gave up on that and will order a new 08 when my G sales. None of the dealers stock them here and they dont know jack about them... everyone in my town drives diesels.. or they have regular burbans.

about the warranty, I thought GM use to say as long as the motor has not been gone into you still had your warranty.. So a blower should not cause any problems.

Have you thought about headers etc.. i know you said you didnt want them, But i think Chevy High performance did a motor and said they picked up 75 hp with tuning, headers and rocker arms or soemthing along those line.. Im sure 75 will not come with a blower but i would think it would help.
