If you leave it bare, it will corrode. When you paint it you need to use high heat paint or it will bubble up.

I was looking at going with an epoxy high temp of course. Maybe some caliper paint. Not a metealurgist hell cant even spell it but i am hoping for the best out of this crap shoot.

Maybe look in to getting it powder coated...PM BlownChevy and see how he did his. He has a tvs series but still. And...his is red and judging by your avatar yours is red...

I found a complete upper hat assem for the silvy for a good price will prob go with that and send this other one out to have insp to see if worth a **** and maybe i will keep for a spare and with this other unit i will still only have 650 in the whole thing so far. Then on to the fuel and cooler and such and with xmas coming up this thing looks like a spring install. I will deff be on here asking more questions.

That was my point, i'd be worry about where the bearings ride, might need re- machined.

Did some more tear down last night of the fuel rails pressure regulator and so forth. This stuff has the loom melted on it but none of the o rings show any sings of melt or distortion and they are just the typical bunna rubber type not viton so still have to say all good but only time will tell.

make sure you get it checked out before you invest in any work to it man. It would really suck if you spend money to get it fixed when it is unfixable.

Got the connect to another used charger unit but this on isnt burnt.
