Machine shop found a hairline crack on one piston so now I'm shooting for 9 to 1 compression and run a little more boost. Keeping the vic jr and will use stock throttle body.

my 408 TT, low compression, stock heads, stock truck intake, stock throttle body gave me 800+hp, i think your setup will be fine.

first off i'm not hating but just asking

408ci/9.5:1/91mm turbo/15lbs of boost only produced 750rwhp??
my SVT Lightning was
331ci/8.9:1/76mm turbo/19lbs of boost made 719rwhp....

is that an average HP of a 408ci and 91mm if so honestly i wll not be happy with my build

I don't feel like my truck ever reached it's full potential either. Something always went wrong at the track or dyno. The new engine will end up 9.5 again and keeping the same set-turbo so we will see what it's capable of. I can tell you that I tried the truck at 18psi with more timing and it made 15lbs feel slow. I'm sure had my 4" flex connector not restricted the exhuast to 2" and all of my spark plug wires been tied it it would have been a different story.

To the OP: I've always had the stock DBW 78mm on my truck. Not sure how much power it made in the end but I have a dyno sheet that shows 700rwhp at 6000 rpm and pointing straight up. I'd say get it running on the 78mm and go from there. You can always upgrade later.
Thanks I already bought the adapter to use it.
