update.

Taking the truck to Nelson Performance tomorrow for some turbo piping adjustment, header wrap and tuning.

408 came out to 9.5 compression with diamond boost pistons, patriot stage 3 heads with cometic gaskets, vic jr with car style intake elbow and 78mm throttle body. Upgraded to 4303 magnafuel, dual meth nozzles, 5 gallon intercooler tank, and 4.10 gears since Bpowells built rear was too damn noisy.

I'm impressed with the truck and havent even gone WOT yet. It is much torqueir and responsive and seems to transfer weight with ease. Didn't get a chance to install caltracs but once it's done we will get some track vids and times. My goal is 850 rwhp and 9's. Don't know if it will happen first time out but eventually that's where I want to be. +

Why did you go with the 4.10s with a turbo?

Because the built rear with 3.73s the truck came with howled like a ****. My extended cab no longer had power to use a built rear and we swapped it over. I might do 3.42s later on.

Sounds like it's gonna be fun!!
FYI, I didn't like my 4.10's when I was in the 7xxrwhp club. IMHO it wouldn't load the turbo enough to be able to be able to use it's full potential until I was in 3rd gear. then again I was sporting an STS so I'm sure it's quite different than what you'll be experiencing.
Please update on how it all feels with the current gear set-up.

There's a few people running around making tons of power with the stock TB so I don't think that will be too much of a problem. got any pics or vids? Also what hot parts are you using?

Small Update:

Went to my home track last night and ran some 1/8mile. Launched with 2lbs of boost and spun to a 7.00 @ 103.3 with 1.74 60ft. We went over log and my serpentine belt slung off around 87 mph and dropped my voltage. My goal was a 6.99 but I swear I'm cursed when it comes to drag racing. DA was 5300 and in heat I guess it's not too bad. I'm thinking of changing to 3.73 or 3.42 gears because it is hard to hook 4.10's under boost.
