#3
Just bought an 08 crew cab with a 5.3 in the process of installing long tube headers off road y pipe and d1sc procharger and the set up I bought did not have the procharger intercooler it came with a front mount 3 core just looking for any information on that kind of set up

I just ordered all new tubing at the beginning of the week so should have it Monday. The intercooler is a universal front mount that the guy had in the same position as the procharger mount. I am going to attempt to put it front mount

You know, I had this conversation with my bud last week. I keep trying to get him to go over to a water/air setup over a traditional air/air.
When I find funds to do a procharger, I plan to do the same thing and use a tru-cool 40k or larger heat exchanger and place the air/water intercooler at the stock intake location.
My ideal setup would have a controller to run the pump and possible fan(s) on the exchanger.
I know maggies have air/water so I figure its best for low space conditions and for a little more money up front, you get piece of mind. I'd also use a Bosch boost-a-pump for mustangs. Cheap, reliable and I cannot remember if its PWM capable.

Found some, I cut some of the tubing that came with the kit, it didn't had the rolled ends but never had a problem at 12 psi.

The top end was badass, low end not so good cause I had half the bed filled with sound system. 5.3, eps cam, yank SC3200,built 4L65e and 4.10s. Never went to a 1/4 track with that setup but did a best of 8.4 at the 1/8 mile track.
