Keep it stock so you can tow your 05 when you pop a head gasket... :-)
Pacesetter makes some longtubes. Add a Magnuson catback, maybe a generic KN CAI, tune it and call it a day.

I ran 10#s on my stock motor for 40k miles and it popped on a highway pull because it leaned out since I am still running stock fuel pump. So that's what I would do. Kooks makes headers for the trucks if you go different route

i was told Pacesetter did not make a set...lol...but ill call in the A.M.....and what is Magnuson catback? lol...will it bolt up to the pacesetters?
idk what trans it has...its a 6speed and was told i would not have trouble out of it like the old 60s and 65? i think its a 6l80E? is that right?
and if i let did not put a converter in it so i can pull my 25ft boat would the turbo spool good on the stock vert? put like a T-70 on it? or just go with a 1900tvs...lol

If you’re really contemplating supercharging your new ride, especially with it having a 6.2L, you may want to consider a set of ARH (American Racing Headers) in the 1.7/8” variety. It doesn’t absolutely have to be ARH’s, but they do have a good reputation of fitting well, especially the AWD models. You didn’t say whether or not you picked up an AWD, but never the less they supposedly fit them excellent.
If you end up going with a turbo, as you know the whole point is mute.
While I believe you would really enjoy a TVS and no you don’t need nor want a real loose converter, I still believe that you could benefit from about a 2600 or so Triple Disc from someone such as Circle D. I’m sure you would benefit from the extra holding capability from the triple disc due to the amount of power that 6.2 will be capable of.

Yea Im on my 5th 6L80E, so my personal opinion is that they are useless until someone starts making actual hard parts for the transmission. They make clutches and little **** here and there but nothing to make these trannys hold to alot of power and alot of weight behind it as well. They seem to work a little better in the camaro and cts v and corvettes because they are half the weight
