What IS "silly" is to turn down being blown when you have a good opportunity. Blown Chevy is a good facilitator....

Lol, oh I know. From I have found the 122 wont actually buy me that much more boost over the 112, at least not on a 408ci engine. With the price difference between a TVS 1900 and 2300 I might as well go all the way.

About $500, unless you go jackshaft.

If you're going to spend the bucks for a TVS, by all means, get the bigger one. Your 408 will play much nicer with the bigger blower. Personally, I wouldn't mess with the 1900 on anything bigger than a stockish 6.0L. Once you mod a 6.0 up a little, the 2300 is a better fit.

If you like how it drives, use it. The beauty of f/i is that you don't need a cam that big to make good power. If you end up trying an MP122 or tvs1900, I'd sure try to find something a whole lot smaller. A 2300 won't have as much trouble filling it with that much cam.

Well I think we have established the 112 is not the way to go even temporarily. So, why is the 122 not really a good choice either? Isn't it bigger (I know not much) and more efficient?
A 122 really won’t push 8-10psi into a 408ci?
How about 6psi?

If it was me Id run the 112 with a 2.8 pulley and the gt2-3 cam and just keep my shift points down. It will make ungodly tq and run decent. Then later on if you want more throw a bigger blower on as money allows. The 112 will be better than nothing if youre not trying to turn it into a blowtorch.

I love how my LQ4/gt2-3 combo runs and I know the extra torque of the stroker would only make it better and then add on 4-5#s of boost itll be a tire frying, towing beast. It wont win any top end races but itll be a torquey ****.
