Default Old Side-Mount Magnacharger Problem!!!

Hey guys,
as you may know, I just installed a sidemount magnacharger and have been having problems with it. The blower was completely rebuilt just 2000 miles ago so it shouldn't be that. I went to the MAN, Nelson today and he help out a TON but it is still not right. It feels a little faster than stock, but not much. And my IAT's are 150-170 degrees
Its only 92 degrees out here, and those temps are coasting on the highway going 60-70mph.
I am installing the boost gauge today to see how many #'s I am getting, but why would the IAT's be so high?
Thanks, any help is much appreciated!

Something is not right. I had a side mount for over a year. Even in the heat it still pulled a lot harder than stock. I don't know what my IATs were. Sorry I could not be of any help.

Try a different MAF . The IAT might have gone bad in yours.

Got the boost gauge installed. At idle or light throttle, the Boost gauge reads 12psi Vacuum, at WOT it reads 3psi max. Whats up with that!!!

What size motor do you have? I would check for any leaks form the compresser to the TB. Should be making more boost then that. Is the bypass valve working properly?

I have the 5.3L. From what I can see, the bypass valve is working, but It shouldnt allow vacuum if it was working right?

You should have vacuum at an idle and part throttle, that's what the bypass valve is there for. Then when you floor it, vacuum goes to 0, closing the bypass, and the compressor is pumping air into the motor crating boost. If you have no leaks, then maybe you need a smaller pulley to make more boost. Allen should know this. Your air temps seem kind of high for only 3 pounds of boost, but that will depend on where your getting your intake air from too. I'm really not very familiar with how the side mounts are setup, I'm more of a turbo guy, but boost is boost, and I know how most of this stuff works.

Im thinking maybe the belt is slipping???
As for the IAT's, I really dont know. Smaller pulley=more boost=higher IAT's. I need to get that figured out before I get the 3.0" pulley (I plan to)
I also do have a CAI.
It just dosnt seem like it is putting out alot of power down low. I can floor it from a stop and only get a chirp ant then it feels like I have Torque Management (I got most of it removed)
WHen I floor it from a 10-20 roll it feels like the power is there, thats when I get the 3lbs boost.

Well, if the air temp sensor has not been relocated, then its in the mass air flow sensor and is BEFORE the compressor. So those temps are from where ever your CAI is pulling air from not after it is compressed. More boost won't change the reading your seeing. All I can guess is either belt slip like you say, or your pulley is to big, or the blower is not sealing properly internally. Just because it was rebuilt 2000 miles ago, doesn't mean it was done right. It sound like your just not getting much boost .
