They seem to be a good choice for oe heads performance wise..They flow really good, They have large chambers to help drop cr, and they can accomidate larger bores....I say yes...If I built a 4+ bore stroker, L92's would be my head of choice!

OEM heads have thinners decks. I would be sure and ck that out. Probably wouldnt want a ton of boost I would think. Not sure what the LS9 uses but its a 6.2 head of course. Good luck and happy horsepower!

The LS9 has a similar casting to the L92 but uses a stronger alloy. There are ridges in the intake ports to help with fuel atomization.
Most OEM heads seem to become unreliable on boost at around the 14psi range.

They flow better. Hmmmm. Stock, it's similar to a good ported LS2/LS6 head. Ported, you can go where no ported 243 casting can go. If that's of value to you, go for it. You can make similar power on a F/I setup with stock heads....it just takes more boost to do it. More boost = more heat. If you have a blower that is capable of making plenty of boost and an intercooler that can cool said boost, it may not be worth it. Kinda depends on where you want to be power wise when the dust settles.
