That's the hardest I've heard of stock heads being pushed on pump gas. Good to hear.

agree

i run l92s on a stock 4" short block lq9, on a 100 shot we estimated close to 600 if not a littl more to the wheels, i wouldnt have no problem pushing more even up and beyond 700 i wont make 900 but i wouldnt see why the heads wouldnt prevail..

One reason I say 14 psi is Curtd lifted a head at about that boost area on a race/pump mix(if I remember correctly). He had ARP head studs. I'm thinking he had ported 5.3's or 243's one.

If you have them run them. To give a PSI limit is really not a good base line. PSI is just resistance to flow. Maybe your cam, exhaust set up works better then the next guys. Or your air temps are alot cooler. So many things to concider. Just work up slowly.
Also alot of people say they want HI boost but when the tire lites off at 80mph its scares the snot out of them and then they are happy with a lower number. LOL
I have a set on my 370 and not sure what boost we will end up with but if it breaks easy to swap. WE did go to a larger head stud, not sure it helps but damm looked alot beefier so it has to hold better..
stock one is on the right.

One of my buddies has a TSP 408 short block with stock l92's on it with a BW S488 turbo in a 63 Nova. It's a blow through carb setup and not even running good on 12 psi at the track and still running middle 9's, lol. He has ran on the street a few times at 17psi! They beat the snot out of this car!

yeah got the studs and getting brand new valves, my only thing is im a internal motor noob and i have no clue what to tell the guy (Whoever that may be) building my motor to put in it other than an all forged rotating assembly, and make it have a 9:1 CR..... I plan on porting and polishing the heads but as far as cam i guess i can call comp cams and get a custom grind for my application, if anyone in this section can point me a direction to a "How to not be a internal motor noob" please feel free too!

If you get the "l92" heads from an LY6 or the new L96, you already have inconel exhaust valves which will stand up to temperatures you might encounter. These are not included with H.O. L92 engine.
