Opinions on L92 heads for FI!

I was running p&p ls3/l92 heads on my ls2 with a vortech v2 on 8lbs, it ran very well! i was making 550hp to th rear wheels through a 4wd 4l85e before it spun a rod bearing on one of the last passes lol . We still didnt have the fuel dialed in all the way and i was gonna ice down the water to air intercooler too, probably could have got closer to 600hp then. im doing a iron 370 with those same heads and a gt4288 garrett turbo now, gonna drop the truck off at a friends to cash in some favors on a roll cage and some fuel cell mounts this next weekend! Cant wait to drive it again!!!

I have every single part ready to go, just got my turbo grind patg/eps cam today too, waiting on my uncles machine shop to find some torque plates so we can properly bore/hone my block to 4.030 then its ready to get assembled! heads have already been checked over and cleaned too. can't wait to get it done!! i have to throw a stock 4.8l in it this week so i have a 4wd for the snow were gonna be getting soon. what a downer it is putting a stock motor back in lol, but its only till i get my new motor ready to throw in, couple months probably. the last minute stuff always kills ya too, turbo feed and drain lines, fuel system fittings and hoses etc, that stuff can really add up quick!!

ah, I was just curious about the valves. I'm looking myself and trying to do a bit of research before dropping money. Not sure if I should go with some stainless manleys or ferrea's, just stock, or I even see they have hollow stem stainless available as an option... Are the hollow stem too fragile for mild boost? not good for long term valve durability? Seems it would be better for the valvetrain though, having less weight strain anyway...

i agree i just added all my odd and end stuff up and im WAY over budget lol but the home stretch will be here soon, 8,600$ later and still lacking a built motor, fuel pump, turbo lines, wiring harness, tune, some fuel lines, im just gettin alot of stuff out of the way before i actually build the motor...... im not in a bad spot considering i just sold all my other stuff for 6k..... i definantly belive all the stuff u buy to fine tune stuff cost more than the damn build haha

Im running a F1R Procharger at 14-15 PSI on a 9.25:1 TSP 408, Ported/CNC'd L92 heads, ARP studs, 91pump and 15gph of meth nozzels and I run 18* of timing at WOT and IAT's stay right around 100*. Iv had this setup for about 2 years and its got me the 3rd fastest Silverado SS running low 11's trapping in the low 120's spinning all 4 out of the hole. I dont know what the HP is but a 5500#ish AWD truck running low 11's and trapping low 120's IDK 750+. I will never push for more because its feels reliable and has been for some time now. You have my vote of confidence on L92's.
