Overboosting problem with free flowing exhaust

This last time home I pulled along side a Dodge SRT10 pickup and a Viper in town. The truck just looked at me and slowed down and the Viper flat stomped on the brakes the second I got into boost.

Lighter spring will probably get you back to 5 psi...backpressure is one factor in opening the gate, you have backpressure acting on the face of the gate and any reference signal on the bottom of the actuator pushing the valve open (to limit exhaust pressure driving the turbo), opposing the spring pressure and any reference pressure you have on the top of the actuator (trying to close the valve and increase pressure to the turbo).
more spring pressure=higher boost
restrict the reference pressure on the bottom side of the gate=higher boost
less backpressure on the gate=higher boost
less spring or more backpressure=lower boost
Just came in from putting some really stiff springs in my gate and just got a 3 bar map, hoping to be over 20 psi this week with any luck

Yea. Im wanting to spend bout 400-450max.
I still gotta get tires for my truck along with gettin the 80e and input for the transfercase in the tahoe.
Need more hours at work.
