Hey everyone,

I know this is an old thread but I am soon to be a "new" Silverado owner that will be going turbo.

I do have a question about this. Has anyone installed this kit had a problem with the check engine light? Since I live in an emission state and all they do is a plug check, this would be a requirement for me.

Thanks in advance,

They sure do so my plan includes adding a metallic high-flow cat. In a previous vehicle with high-flow cats, I had to double-stack non-foulers on the o2 sensors to trick the sine wave.

I suspect this will work the same on the Silverado.

You will need to have your truck tuned for the turbo and there should be no check engine light or codes thrown if you tune is setup right.

you could remove the insides of a cat and run a straight through pipe through the housing of the cat and youll have the look but it would just be a straight pipe going through it,

Default KB Racing Kit

New guy here.

I just got my kit (no intercooler) from Kyle and was wondering a few things.

This is my first jump into modifying anything since 1978.

2010 Silverado 4.8

So, I completely understand the turbo concept and function. But could use some info on things like.
Where's the best place to pick up oil and return it?
What breather modifications/changes are made?
Tips & tricks.
O2 sensors. Do you eliminate the rear set?
My tuner (Blackbear) will do whatever is needed to the PCM.
I have a turbo blanket and wrap. Should I wrap the hot pipe from the left bank to the right manifold?
For now I'm going to use the stock air box with a K&N drop in.
I could use a couple pictures (of the smaller details) and I will take many while installing.

Thanks
