how big of stall did you go with? what did you have before? I think every procharger kit should come with a stall They just don't make any power down low till you put in a stall!

Lenny rated it as 2800...but said that it may stall as high as 3200
just got it in Wednesday night late...
hit yesterday a couple times...seemed to be more like 3000...
this was the first truck verter he's built...
he used a Northstar verter core...

did you have a stock TC before. I know going from stock to a 3000 stall was HUGE. Totally different animal with the procharger!

The Prochargers do need a higher stall for better off idle performance, but not alot. A 2600-2800 stall is usually enough to get 60' times in the 1.7's without a problem. Most tuners just don't put enough timing down in the lower rpm's like they should when tuning a Procharged vehicle. None of that is related to the problem you're describing. If you have a lag in third it's likely from the converter locking in too soon as well as the COT not being turned off. make sure that your tuner isn't locking the converter until well past 5000rpm and that your COT protection is turned off.

didn't mean to hi-jack the thread...
thanks for getting us back on track Zippy...
as for the lag up top...I had big rpm drop on the 2-3 before...
this verter is way more efficient up top...

when the tahoe was a 350 and procharged the 2800 stall convertor and 4.10's (from 3.42s) woke it up a ton.

The subs setup doesn't complain with a stock converter though.....

Zippy, I think you are right about the timing being too low in lower RPM...I mean mine just doesn't rap out in 3rd like it did...it seemed to be almost bogging it. I think it would have made it a lot better though if the convertor wasn't locked up until later in 3rd.

The only bad part is...I won't be able to test any of this for a while as I smoked 2nd gear in my tranny.

Truck only has 25,000 miles on it. LOL.
