I was just fooling around, but I'm pretty pretty sure a properly sized and pullied centri doesn't make any more heat than a properly sized turbo...hell maybe even less.

I always felt that a really large sc that doesnt have to spin too fast would be ideal. Lower heat with high specific pressure due to the larger size and slower speed. Just one of my theories tho, probably wrong

That theory would work, infact is exactly what I am doing on my boat set up.. HUGE headunit = to a F1-2 procharger, going spin it slow, but make big boost on a small cube set up...

IMO, a centrifugal would have lower IATs because it isn't directly connected to a chunk of iron with exhaust at over 1000° passing through it. Ever try working under the hood of a turbo vehicle within 4 hours of it running? You don't wanna be anywhere near that compressor housing

Heres mine with a 4.8 and a p1sc with like 10-12 lbs. When I had this setup it had stock injectors and i never had it tuned just changed what i could on the diablosport, yes I know I shouldve had a tune and injectors and all the other stuff blah blah. But this shows how tuff the little 4.8 was and it never did let go.

I can only speak from tuning a old friends ls2 c6. His intercooled vortec was always a good 30-40 degree's above my turbo setup on the same track days. He was also running 6-8 psi less then me also. Thats really the only first hand I have though, so maybe theres better examples.
