very interesting. I've seen some turbo guys do that. I'd be afraid the screen would get sucked into the inlet.

Interesting Idea. I always have the filter when DD it but I noticed I picked up a pretty consistent 10th when just removing it while at the track. Didn't watch the boost gauge that close but don't think I gained much if any boost when I removed it

yeah is aluminum screen door stuff. i gain a solid 2 psi when filter is removed and spools way faster, very noticeable from the seat of your pants hp lol. plus you can hear the whistle it makes way better with the filter off sounds like a real life turbo!! .. lol

Maybe you need to clean your filter.

Ah, well if it matters, I don't run a filter at the track either.

I really don't know if those Amsoil filters are restrictive or not. I don't believe I've ever seen one before.

I don't use anything on mine either , on the dyno to the tires no filter gained 40 something hp - I use to have a screen but it was restricting to ( not much though ) if your worried about paper and plastic that blower will suck it straight through that - that thing will stop lumber and branches lol - but never hurts to have
