ok tuner said it does that to save its self. after i get the ait lower what would be the next step that works good with the procharger? I plan on getting my tranny built and adding 4.10 gears with a posi.

my goal in the end is to try and hit the 600 hp mark how hard is that goal

What motor and tranny do you have? Forged internals?
Some guys will differ with me, but a 4L80e swap is a much wiser investment than a "built" 60e. I'm on hte mobile app on my phone right now, so I can't see your truck or set-up.

A high stall converter will also do great with a Procharger. Just remember dyno readings is not the first thing ,is more important what you run.

I think methanol is your only sure fire way of reducing IAT's. You have to remember that the ProCharger is compressing (= HEATING) the currently hot ambient temp intake air before it even reaches the IC. At part throttle, a lot of it is vented...or if by-passed with the ProCharger supplied return hose...you have much hotter than ambient being returned to the intake side of the head unit to them be heated again. Under boost, no by-pass, but the head unit, IC and piping get so hot that they don't cool off very quickly. I will be experimenting with a pre-ProCharger methanol injection on my new build...in addition to stepping up the amount of methanol injection post IC and MAF.

Yes...higher stall is your friend as well. TB converter picked me up a half a second on my stock motor/4L60e set-up with the P1SC.

i have a 05 ccsb with stock 5.3. see i keep getting mixed anwsers on the 80e swap local mechanics said they wouldnt do it to much work. so idk? yeah looking into meth seems to be the anwser. i heard around a 3000 stall is good for the procharger is this correct? i understand dyno numbers arent everything but if it feels fast at 400 it would be crazy at 600 lol

IAT s kill us supercharged guys , well everyone suffers from heat, but its hard to not have timing pulled when its that hot ambient.

My truck was pulling timing pretty bad to when i dynoed at 90+* ambient and my IATs went up 182* ! On a cooler day i have no doubt i would have dynoed 600 to the tires. Heat kills.

The cooler weather will make your truck feel lots stronger.

But I would try meth and bigger FMIC, Or E85 if you can get it, it runs cooler and adds bout 50-60 horse at the wheels, but you might need larger injectors.

I say wait for cooler weather to get your numbers you want.

Yeah I'm going to try a bigger fmic and Meth when I get home in the next month or two.
Guess I'm going to start looking into the 80e swap again! On a 2wd ccsb will I have to shorten the drive shaft? Heard of people going with the two piece is this a good option?

do the 80e swap it will be the wisest thing you will do, not that much more work and will save you from rebuilding your 4l60 a couple times. there is a detailed thread here if you search that will tell you everything from start to end. as far as temps go e85 and speed density tune = problem solved... my truck doesnt care if its 90* or 50* power feels strong all the time ever since i went s/d on e85.
