You'd make a lot of money if you could sell those air boxes. Ha I'd buy one, looks awesome

i didnt have to remove much, i had to cut the inner fender and remove the plate that the old airbox sat on. I think I had to trim the rad mount as well.

I'd have to get a lot fancier equipment to make them to sell, the hammer, vice, electric hacksaw and hand drill aren't exactly speedy and easy to make exact duplicates....haha

well I finally got around to re-doing my exhaust this weekend. I divorced the wastegate and it now dumps in the fender and built a madrel bent 4" exhaust with a straight thru muffler. Good news is the response is incredible, sound is barely louder than before, leaned my mapping out, and it gained 2.5 psi boost under 4500 rpm! Bad news is anything over 4500 rpm i can't control the boost anymore, it runs 9 psi and then climbed to 13 before i let out each time. I dont think the wastegate is too small (50mm JGS if i remember right) so i dunno whats going on?

The waste gate in the pic is 40? I believe.
The larger gates use vband clamps.

Loose the boost controller and see if it still climbs out of controll.

what size is the pipe coming off of the WG? if its too small it won't get all that bypass out and will cause it to increase boost. With it being longer and small diameter it could be impeding flow.

Is the bypass line blowing at the tire?

The bypass pipe is the same diameter as the wastegate exit, it kinda does point at the tire, I've done it before with no issues though

As long as nothing goes boom and you oil down the tire! thats some great work for doing it yourself! a lot if interesting ideas you have used! Im on a phone so pics are small. where is the wg in the pipe exactly? ive seen a good bit of boost increase from bad wg placement. just an extra thought
