I'm with Tim, just throw some weld on there. It is hard to tell from the pic because the belt is beat up, but is the rest of the belt discolored on the flat side towards the engine? That pulley could have been walking off over time and you just didn't notice it. Did it mess up the hood or anything? Sorry to hear about this.

I had to weld mine too. That was with a side mount maggie. I was under the hood and noticed the belt tracking differently on the water pump. Checked the pulley and found it had walked off 1/4 inch. Did some searching on PT and found out that it does happen. Tapped it back on and fired up the miller-o-matic!

P.S. Last time my friend broke a 6 rib it took the 4 rib A/C belt too. He couldn’t keep an A/C belt on to save his life. The broken belt must have hyper extended the tensioner. Replace the A/C tensioner and all is well.

Superado did that years ago. Maybe just something that is a hair more common with the PC guys.

Isnt the belt visibly ripped right there? Or am I lost lol

This has happened before. The water pump pulley needs to be welded to the shaft. I need to stop dicking around and put a electric pump on so I don't have that issue

might want a bit more slack on the belt as well if its too tight , the weakest link will find its way .
