yea i might be a newby but you guys dont have to rub it in lol am trying, but my dream for the past year is to put a turbo in my truck, am jealous cuz my best friend has a diseal cummins with a turbo in it lol, but i have about 1500 dollers saved up soo far am just going to buy 1 part at a time, but when i do get my turbo in for you guys, ill put it on youtube and brag to you guys about calling me a newb

I would keep saving up. Your not going to get into a turbo kit for that kinda money... Not to mention the other upgrades you will need in order to run it with reliability... Fuel, trans, rear, tuning.. It will add up to well over 4k, thats on the low side, thats just turbo parts... Going fast isn't cheap.. Take your time and do some searching on here.. You can find STS kits for cheaper then the front mounts.. Good luck BTW it is VORTEC not vortex..

Well I want to build have my truck turboed I got a 6.0 v8 2500hd i dream of having a 11 second truck or high 10 second truck. hopefully I will one day. As of right now I only have 1000 in the bak so just someone telling me 5k breaks my heart

By the time it is said and done after getting a turbo, wastegate, blow off, hot parts, charge pipes, intercooler, boost controller, gauges, fuel pump, injectors, couplers and clamps, mod your exhaust or get new one, and the multiple other things that go with doing this you will more than likely have around 7k in the kit if not more. You start adding in methanol and other supporting mods then you will likely go higer than that. Just buy one part at a time......save up for the hot parts, then turbo, then wastegate..........etc.............And take my advise dont buy cheap **** just to get it going. Buy good stuff the first time and cry once.
