the wastegate rams right into the side of the downpipe right at the flange. thats gonna suck for sure once it opens up. good spot in the hot side but not in the down pipe.

I was kinda thinking that too, as well as more clutter and exhaust in the engine bay.

My kit has a flex on it, which is nice when bolting it up.

I like my Trick kit. Complete for sure. I would not use silicone or rtv or whatever. It will not hold. Metal gaskits ftw. Also use a straight through diesel muffler system. It can be made to go right to the down pipe and have no backpressure.
Its what I have and it sounds good and flows better.

He gave me the flex joint to install if I wanted, if I don't find a way too mate the two surfaces I might end up having the correct flange tigged on the manifold I wish I knew what all you guys used for a gasket on your front mount because most front mounts seem very similar!

for the manifolds use stock gaskets. most guys on here use copper rtv for the turbo and waste gate flanges.

I have tendancy too worry about stuff and I have used the copper rtv silicone on just headers without good success, I do want to make big power but keep drivability the permatex is rated up to 700 degrees and I think turbo temps can get up to 1600 degrees.

Man this is beyond me why these front mount turbo kits don't come with the correct flange on the exhaust manifold, then you could use the tried and true stainless steel gasket!

Unless I'm not seeing it right, that gasket fits the turbo flange and everything bolts up! Just use it! That little bit of blockage doesn't matter! At all! Not worth your time to put a new flange on! !!!
