So the answer you are looking for...you'll be fine. It's not like you are constantly running the leaded stuff.

But be warned the lead will coat your narrowbands, widebands, longbands, shortbands, EGT's, or whatever sensors. If it is a sensor and it is in the exhaust stream it will catch some lead to some degree. It will coat the CATs. All of which will ultimately be their demise if done constantly.

I run leaded every race day and replace my wideband sensor every race season just to be safe.

Otherwise, if you are just dynoing to see how much you can get out if it, have fun. Just don't forget to pull that timing back out.

Ok great info! I just have the o2s that are no use as Charlie pointed out, the wide band and my Pryo. I have no cats or anything so I dont need to worry about that. My wideband has been giving me troubles so I will replace it this winter. I will certianly upload the 93 tune once Im done with the dyno so I have no issues. Thanks again for the input!

What mix should I run? How many gallons or race fuel(and what octane) vs 93? Just wondering what would be a good idea to use.

Why dont you keep the tune the same and just turn the boost up when you put the race gas in it? Then you wont have to keep loading tunes into it when you switch back and forth.

SilveradoL33 did that every weekend with his truck. Drove it all week on pump 93 and 13lbs and then nearly every weekend ran straight leaded 110 with 19lbs in the dunes.

You'll be ok with leaded. Even if you used it for good you would just go through some O2 sensors throughout the year.

Have you ever used race gas in your truck?

Ive had race gas in my white truck, never hurt it. My friend ran leaded 110 every weekend in his turbo'd 06 Silverado and pump gas during the week daily driving it and never had a problem. Another friend of mine ran nothing but leaded 110 for 2 seasons in his 05 GTO with no problems.

Yes it will kill the O2 sensor but maybe 1-2 per season if you use a bunch of leaded gas. To use it once in a while I highly doubt he will see a problem from it.

I dont have a boost controller yet and Im too lazy to change the spring Im already at 12lbs with the stock 5.3 so Ill run this for now. Might do that next year when I have the meth kit to go along with it too.

I'm with the "don't use race gas" crowd. What is the point? It is no different than adding a little nitro. The number that results will always have to be followed by the statement "on race gas".

low pressure air regulator. You can have it done by the weekend for like 20 bucks.

only thing i have ever used race gas for was when i run n02. i personally mix mine 50/50 10 gals of 91 and 10 gals 105 race fuel. im sure it would be pretty safe if you mixed it that way maybe even a bit to safe. i was tuned for 13psi and i ran a 65shot on that tune with 50/50 race gas/91 fuel and never had any problems.
