LQ4 is 9.5:1 compression and the 317s are 72 cc heads. 243s are 64.45cc heads so you are roughly in the 10.25:1 compression area. Depending on how much boost you want to run. You should be fine with 8-10 psi with an intercooler on that compression. LS2 TBSS guys are running 6 psi intercooled with 11:1 compression. It also has to do with the amount of timing you run as well.

I set mine up to run 10.5cr and run 16psi with no troubles. The higher CR makes it run alot better out of the boost too.

I ran that same setup for quite a while on about 9psi with an occasional 75 shot of n2o. It ran lean a few times and I'm building a forged motor now. I'm going to look into a little more capable fuel system on the new motor.

Your cam isn't the first one that I would choose for boost. You can do better there.

Depends on what FI you are going with...procharger or TVS.....there are better options....turbo....probably would be ok but I would get a custom grind so it will be exactly what you want.
