I'm not saying it's a bad thing I just want to be sure it's normal.
i expected some noise at wot but not at light load.
what have to got for exhaust.

Can't hear the blower over the exhaust. I even have a 1/4 mile run taped and I can hear the whine a little but nothing like a cobra or a lightning going down the track.

I've never heard a Radix powered truck, but I've heard a C5 vette with one, it was quite obvious what he had under the hood

You will hear the blower a LOT more with an open air element that you will with a closed air box. I've seen a couple of people do some really trick ducting to the stock air box with some 3" reinforce hose and scoops in place of the fog lights. It worked so well that you could watch the boost go up as the speed went up. It also pulled in a lot cooler air than an open element under the hood does.

that's interesting, you suggest I put the oe air box and k/n filter on and try that, i'll put the foam in the fender well also.
It seems like the noise is more mechanical noise from the blower than the air intake but this may help.

The stock air box will cut the noise down, but unless you do some type of ram air into the box you be making more power with the open element. I was just throwing out an alternative if you get tired of the sound. Most guys I know like the sound, and it sounds like you don't mind it........it's the spouces they have to quiet it down for! I never did directly answer the original question about the noise being normal though. I would say from what you are describing it is a normal sound.
