Default Radix Pulley, Aluminum Vs. Steel. Any Issues?

Looking at pulleys and see there are aluminum ones out there. Just wondering if there are any issues between them.

Billet aluminum has a lighter rotating mass. It also does noot corrode and rust like some of the steel pulleys do. I have to repaint my Lingenfleter pulley every year. The Nelson billet pulley I used to have always looked great and it had a jam nut to help withj install/removal.

Thanks,
I just got one from Pulley Boy's. I was not expecting aluminum or the blue color but I'll run it.
I like the integrated hex for holding back.

From a 3.5 to a 3.4. Should be a big change being the 3.5 is with a Superchips tune and the 3.4 will be with a dyno tune. You think?
The tune is on for tonight! The current dyno tune is pictured below.

What were you hoping to gain with a .1" smaller pulley and a tune?

According to Magnuson and other experienced folk a 10th in pulley size equals a 1 pound of boost and 15-20 HP.
But other than that the original tune is a (2005) Superchips hand held generic tune configured to be easy on a stock transmission.
Now that the blower and truck are out of warranty and I have a new built up transmission there are gains to be had left on the table.

A Dyno tune over the handheld and the pulley should bring out a nice little gain. I hope.

I'll post it up, the tune is tonight.

I would at least drop to a 3.0 that will still be manageable. You paying for the tune now. Dont regret not going bigger later. 3.0 should make 10.5-11 psi on the L33

I agree, at least do a 3.2 or 3.0 to get your money's worth.
