The bypass valves in the blowers also open up as soon as the TBs close down (i.e. when there is vacuum behind them).

From the vid it appears that the belt is pretty stable now when the throttles slam shut. It is just the stretch that I am concerned about.

Will the belt stretch more under boost, when each blower requires 100hp of drive power? How much stretch can the belt tolerate? Then again, looking at some papers on belt dynamics, it looks like slip will likely occur in this system and limit stretch anyway. What happens when you go to a wider belt?

Didn't know that they used these OAD pulleys on the Vettes:

maybe this has been mentioned, but what if you off set the blowers (or the pulleys). get a custom crank pulley made and have each blower have its own belt. that way there is less stress on just the one belt. hell then if you wanted you could cog the blowers and keep the accessories on the normal belt. i don't know how much room you have in front of the engine/crank pulley though.

how well will a positive displacement like these mentioned here hold up to a cogged setup?

The blowers could be on a cogged belt now - not separate though. Accessories are on their own belt. Not sure what issues could arise from a cogged setup though, particularly with 2 blowers, and with hanging all that load way out off the front of the crank.
Cog drive:

I reclocked the tensioner slightly today so that at the stop there is just a hair between the 2 belt sections. Engine off the tensioner is wound up 3/4 of the way to the other stop. If that isn't enough, then the whole setup has to be changed anyway. I was already surprised to get over 20 psi out of an 8 rib. Will find out how it works out when I get my hood back.

Waiting to get my hood back. I hit WOT a couple of times when I went to drop it off and the belt stayed put, so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

At this time, we would have to custom build one for you.

Glad the belt is staying put Doc.

Kudos to you for building one incredable machine!
