no, he can run the stock setup and tuner that comes with the TVS. If you want more power you can pulley down and tune later.

Buy EFI live or HPT and start learning now! Seriously, you will need a good tune either way to propell the CC deep into the 13's, might as well learn to do it.

I know the feeling

Start slow and easy. You'll get lot's of help along the way if you take the time to read and research.

I have often thought of taking some sort of tuning course because of my facination with fuel injection and tuning. So what way should I boost it?

Go with the TVS IMO. It will make plenty of power and have the reliability you want too.

But will I break 13's? I do feel alot more comfortable with the kit considering I can't even get a hold of those turbo guys!

I would only be guessing, but you could always put a progressive 75 or 100 shot of nitrous if you need more without increasing the heat you get from pullying down. With either a turbo or s/c, you will need a built transmission or a 4l80e swap to hold the power you will need for 13's.

Was that you that called me the other morning? I usually don't answer the phone before 9am my time (I'm in WY, ) unless I know who it is ( I get calls at all hours of the day and night ), but you didn't leave any messages. If you would have, I'd have called you back. I responded to the PM you sent me. I usually don't do mail order tuning, but I do sell EFILive and could probable get you set up with a safe starter tune. I also have a used TVS1900 I'm selling or could go with a New turbo kit. Turbos really aren't for the set it and forget it beginner type's, but if your willing to take the time and learn about them and tuning you can go turbo. Give me a call and we can discuss things further.
