Relocate IAT Sensor
I wanted to relocate my IAT sensor from the MAF to the boosted side of the whipple. Has any one done this? Where did you get the sensor? Where did you locate the sensor? How did you wire it?
I think it would be easier to tune this truck if I had some accurate IAT readings.
Thanks

i bought an IAT sensor from the dealer. im going to go out in the garage and find it and see if there is a part number on it. then there are 2 wires you can cut from the MAF and splice them into the sensor.

I used an IAT sensor out of a 97 Camaro I believe. It is the same part # as onyx used. I also got a waterproof connector for it and a grommet from a brake booster vacuum connection to mount it in the intake tube. I actually used a similar grommet I got for my STS methanol injection kit and swapped it with the GM grommet but I am sure the GM grommet could be made to work.
GM IAT Sensor #12160244 $20.36CDN
GM Connector #12102620 $25.56CDN
GM Grommet # 12338042 $7.64CDN
I got the information for this install from Jerry2500 in this thread.

I wanted to do this mod, but thought I read some-where, that it will make the MAF readings way out of spec because the temps will be colder (more dense) (sp) than what the MAF is "seeing" (less dense). Any input on this?
