I cant believe this that 88 cant feed a 408 good god man put a 100 on there holy ****! more in that setup? Have you thought about some smaller gears like 3.23 youve got enough tq to push em would probably lower et?

just a thought.

The more I think about it Id like a 402 with a 76 but I dont want to bust out the cash for a built short block, tranny and turbo. Do you think a 6.0 bottom could hold up to high boost with just some rod bolts?

didnt you say you had a 76 on your 408? How did it feel on the street?

Another thing where do you shift at? What sort of cam are you using?

trturbo:what do you mean when you say punched out?bored over? I noticed the compression is lower than stock, did you do that just with bigger CC heads? Transmission? 650-700rw is what i need to get where I want to go. Hows about a dyno sheet on the 5.3
an iron block 5.3 out of a '05 Yukon, bored to LS1 (5.7) bore for ease of finding pistons, the pistons were dished as well as the heads having bigger chambers;73cc. Stroke was stock, so basicall we had an iron block 5.7. The cam was an '02 LS6 cam. We did a Walbro 255 intank and 42lb injectors. Trans was a stock 4l65, but right after the big dyno run, it started to slip. We never intended it to make that much, but the tuner lost his mind and turned the boost up. We were wanting a reliable 450 - 475 which we got at about 8psi. http://www.trtturbo.com/images/tx_ve...hange_dyno.jpg
This is not the bigger dyno. It is before the forged internals and just a start on tuning when it was still a 5.3 with LS6 cam only.

I have the STS in my 04 QC 4X4 hemi ram.

I also have the gt67 upgraded turbo and IC.

I made 419rwhp at 7lbs and I run 8.5-9lbs on the street.

Another Mopar guy chiming in. You Chevy guys with the turbos on built motors are making some very impressive power. Very cool!

My STS set-up comes with a GTS-76. Lag is so minimal for me that it feels like a S/C engine. I'm making 550 rwhp and 590 ft/lbs with a super flat torque curve on a very conservative 5 psi (stock Gen III Viper engines have cast pistons). We're going to bump it up to 8 psi w/ methanol as soon as STS finishes up the twin turbo C5 Z06 install. I'm expecting about a 75 rwhp increase. In my case the power numbers are mostly limited by the stock parts in my engine. I understand that the 76 will easily support upwards of 1,000 hp.
