Default Roots supercharger for my carbed setup?

I have a carbureted 6.0 in my truck right now. But I was considering putting it in my brother's truck with the stock fuel injection and putting a 5.3 in mine. We have access to a Weiand 144 blower(from a SBC) minus the manifold. I was wondering if it would be possible to buy a LS1 snout and LS1 intake from BDS and put the 144 blower on it?

Why not just buy a GenIII Magnuson Carb kit.

That would make for a fairly easy swap.

Car Craft tested a carb'd Gen III Maggy setup awhile ago and it completely blew old style roots numbers out of the water.

I never heard of that setup before, I thought they only made them for the stock EFI motors. I was just wondering about this because we can get the 144 for almost nothing. And I'm sure the snout and intake don't cost a lot. I'll look into that Magnuson though. Thanks.
