Roush S/C help....?
Ok guys, i recently picked up one of the TVS1900 roush supercharger kits, and I need some info/help. I've searched and read probably every post on here about it and it's history. I have gone over the entire unit and realized that whoever had it before me had drilled and tapped the rear of the intake for what I can only assume is to install an iat sensor. From my research this mod only needed to be done on 2007 and later applications...correct? I also assume that this mod is not neccassry on 2008 and up trucks..correct? I plan on installing it on my 2008 5.3 LTZ non-flex motor. If I do not need this mod, can I just plug the hole with a bolt and some kind of thread sealent? I'm also in need of the correct spark plugs to go with this kit, and there seems to be some debate here on what is correct. Any suggestions? On a side note I just picked up a set of ARH LT headers with the catted ypipe for $1100 brand new in the box. I'm looking forward to doing this install soon and just want to be 100% prepared before I loosen a single bolt. This site has been an ideal source of info so far and I would aprreciate all the help I can get. Thank you all in advance. Mike B.

i'm running TR6s in my 2300 LS1
and the boost gauge should have its own reference port if it's like mine. it'll be on the driver's side near the firewall
but then mine's a vette kit which is a little different configuration, but i can't imaging the lower manifold being that much different

Typically if it was tapped for a boost gauge it would be a 1/8 npt thread hole. If the hole is higger than that it probably was for a iat sensor. If you use the tmap sensor Roush suggested you dont need the iat sensor. The iat is used if you are going to tune it with a speed density tune instead of a maf tune. Ngk tr6 plugs would be the best choice.

Thanks BlewSilverado, it seems it is for a boost gauge, at least I have that isuued solved. Now I have a new problem. I was going over the kit again and realized that I am missing the gasket/o-ring that goes between the upper intake manifold and the blower assembly, for the bypass valve. I called Roush and gave them the part # from the sheet that came with my kit, and they told me 120 day lead time......WoW...? The best I can tell it has 2 1/4 outside diameter, 1 15/16" inside diameter, and a 1/8" thickness. Anyone have any idea here? Thanks

"Supposedly" the Roush kit is the exact same kit as the Slp kit. Its possible they might have parts. The bad news is anytime I have tried to buy any kind of part from them for other items they sell they were not very helpful. It is definitely worth a shot though.
