Is that the "boost-a-pump" you're talking about? I believe I read in the other thread that is was not needed. I will reread to verify. Thank you for the offer. Any suggestions on where to get the shift kit and servo, both purchased and installed?

yep, its a boost-a-pump. its not "needed," but preferred. Similar to any upgrade to the truck (i.e. headers, cat back, etc.), not needed, but can only help. Nothing wrong with having the extra fuel when in need!

Look at oregontransmission (ebay username-something along those lines) on ebay, their pricing for the vette servo and shift kit is pretty solid. Someone from your area of TX will chime in with where to get it installed.

thanks again on the offer, but I'm thinking the shift kit and servo next. Is 400rwhp a feasible number with only good tune, tvs 1900, LT's and no cats? Or am I dreaming?

awesome.. im curious to see how this goes for you. I was worried a little with the 4.8 because they dont offer the flex fuel for it and has smaller injectors then the 5.3 so i was thinking that it didnt have the same fuel pump as the others. anyone confirm that the pumps are all the same in the gmt900 trucks?

My mechanic did mention a possible fuel pump issue. He is going to install it then check the F/A ratio and go from there. Does any know if the pumps is in the tank? He also recommended new pump instead of the booster.
