s475 spool
I have looked at a few videos on youtube but just wondering if anyone has any experience with a stockish engine silverado with a 475 on there. Im using one on my build. At first it will be a 4.8 until i can swap a 6.0 in. Just wondering how laggy this turbo will be if anyone had any first hand experience with them. Thanks

Ask foose04. He just went with one on his 4.8. I think he said it wasn't as friendly around town where he can get in it some and have boost as quick as before but its stupid fast when he hammers down...

Mine was laggy off the line. The truck was plan SCARRY after 20mph (I have video of it braking the tires at 80) but the first time I went to the track I thought something was broke. I can't remember but I cut like a 2 something 60'. 12x mph though lol That was with a 10.2:1 370 and a reverse split small cam, stock 4l80e converter...

You guys think a z06 cam will be ok for it? i figured it would be laggy but just making sure i can drive it easy around and be ok. im used to lag as i had a cummins with a big turbo and lots of fuel and daily drove it everyday. I wouldnt think this would be as bad tho to try and drive.
and sand man why do you recommend sticking with the 4.8?

It wont be so bad you cant drive it. you will need a good converter, proper tune, and a zo6 cam will be fine. there will be some lag, but if everything is working properly it wont be bad at all

im running T4 - S475 on my 6.0L. you need, small cam for low end tq, a good tune, wrap hot pipes/turbo to keep the heat in, pressure test cold pipes/BOV for leaks to keep the boost in, and the lag wont be too bad. I have a 3200 stall, IMO is too high. But, I can spin 32" tires at 50mph no prob.
