Safe boost with no meth?

Safe boost with no meth?
I just picked up a manual boost controller so I can start turning up the boost on my truck. Right now it is only running 6psi with 14* timing. I know 9-10psi is safe as I've done it previously but what about 12-15psi with no meth on 94 octane pump gas?
It is a stock 5.3L with cam, head studs and ls9 head gaskets, br7ef plugs, master power 76.

i just hurt mine, not sure how, i lost 15psi of oil pressure, it sits on 25 at idle hot now, going to pull it out and do a forged rod 5.7. i know without meth i had the timing down at 6* with 10psi. and i would still get some know with a 11.2 a/f

You think its possible your engine was hurt to begin with?
that other thread you mentioned you couldnt run much timing on it.. possibly cause it already had an issue?
just dawned on me.
You could slowly turn the boost up and pull about 1-2* timing per # of boost and slowly add it back in.

no it wasnt hurt, this motor has not a single noise when dead cold, no pistons slap nothing, 45psi idle hot, drove it towning to kentucky up huge hills pulling 7500 lbs and 6 hours later oil pressure was 35psi hot. it was perfect, now im lucky to get to 45 under load cold. about 15minutes into driving it drops down to 35psi and then at hot idle it moves up and down on the guage. 20-25.

Hum. Still wonderin why yours wouldnt take much timing.
OP,
Timing is what kills the engines. If your AFR is in check, then go easy on your timing and it should live for a lil while.
What drivetrain you plannin on goin with? Gonna make some silly power.

Hmm I was running the same 14* at 9-10 psi but I didnt have tuning software to verify if it ever had KR.
My truck has 4L80e with the awd tcase. Shifts a lot better WOT than the 4L60e ever did.
I do have a meth kit in the garage but our tracks only open for 2 more weeks so I wanted to try turn it up before it closes.
