Ahhhh....... Well that makes sense then of course. The 6.0L swap available for me has the 80. I think the 5.3's have the 60.

Lots of good info here. Depends on budget of course. If you keep the 350 by all means do Vortec heads and a very small cam like a comp 260-270 at most. Best case scenario for mpg would be a 5.3 or 4.8 with a 6spd manual. It would outrun the 350 anyway. Cruising mpg would probably be 22-26 if set up right. If you keep an auto I'm not sold on the 80e for performance or gas mileage with a stock 5.3. Reliability with high hp...different story. As far as the supercharged engine getting better mpg because of staying in OD. Most cases the blower doesn't do much at all if not in boost and boost = bad mpg. There is a gas mpg thread on this site. Its surprising how bad most everyone does because they are always on the go pedal. Boost is fun!

Well of course. You don't put boost on your vehicle and not have a little fun every once in a while. There is just a primary goal looking at the highway benefits for long trips. I'm 1000 miles from home.

What have people been seeing with the Atomic EFI or the FAST EZ EFI system?

Both look interesting, but $2k is a lot for that upgrade. I mean, if it's worth it to do it right... it's worth it. Am I right?
