i cap off and remove all pcv lines. nothing goes into the intake that isnt normal. i run two breathers one in oil cap and other in pcv port. if you are puking oil you have motor issues. my 6.0 had busted ring gland. it got to the point where it was literally puking oil out at idle. enough were it looked like underhood had a fire which hood closed. thats when i decided to tear down the motor. found partially melted piston then when removed piston from motor found the ring gland to be shatterd. this motor also went 11.85 with that cylinder being as hurt as it did in a 3800lb fbody. not to shabby having that cylinder only read 40 psi

a healthy motor wont puke oil, now a motor built "loose" will have some. this is probably also a big n20 motor or large boost motor with loose tolerances but stil lshouldnt puke out oil, just vent some

Yup... and keep in mind that every builder has their own preference for performance tolerances. If in doubt... ask the builder

we just put breathers on the the 5.3 in the fairmont. thats all i am ever going to do from now on. no smell, no smoke, not even any oil residue and that motor has a lot of passes on it. if there is a little residue and you dont want to fix it then i would try a fat hose down to a breather(or open) mounted near the ground just to help keep things from geting dirty.
