Question Seriously considering a Procharger for my mildly built 5.3 need some help

Ok im looking for a little more power well alot more. I have a 5.3 with only 60,000 miles on it so i dont want to do a 6.0 swap just yet. I was thinking of running a procharger with my current setup, even considering running a turbo setup, i just dont know enough about either to make the decision right now. Wondering if my cam will work etc etc.. Here is my setup let me know what you guys think.
2000 GMC 1500 reg cab short box 2wd with 5.3 motor, Thunder Racing TR224 on a 114 LSA 563 lift cam
Thunder Racing 7.4 pushrods
PAC 1218 single beehive valvesprings
Pace Setter Long tube headers
Cat delete
4000 Stall converter
NX 100 Shot, plate kit
true dual 3" exhaust with the Magnaflow race bullet mufflers.
HP Tuner and Wideband
3.73 gears w rear locker

I think your cam would be perfectly fine with a procharger. Ask some procharger guys about your converter. Im not sure if they like high stall converters like your 4k or lower ones like maggies. Your going to have a pretty stout tires burning machine

Get in touch w/. Mangled03gmc. John likes his Procharger. I'm curious what he'll say as to how nice a 4k stall & Procharger will play together.

I think you have a pretty good setup for a procharger. If you are serious, throw it on there and see how you like it. Only thing I think might be an issue is that 4k stall might act a little looser with the procharger, that thing should hit hard with that much of a converter.

I see what direction this is going. Well before all of this happens, im swapping trans, and building my rearend to hold down the power. I honestly am looking at building a 10 second truck...... Money is not an issue. I just want to take my time learn listen and grow to make sure its what i want. I still want ac/pw etc etc a sunday cruiser if i want to take it out with the wife on a sunday.
I understand if i race on the track a 10 point cage might have to be in place, but im not sure if i really want to track it if it gets to that point. its all up in the air.

i personally don't know anything about procharger's. but does it take alot of work to get a procharger into the 10s with his current truck?i have been turbocharged for the past 5 years and i must say. once you go boost N/A wont be fun. good luck.

Bottom line you run a decent low gear, a big converter you are going to love that PC.. It will eat to the moon...
