I was also under the impression that the TR6 plug was the one to run? Ran them in my procharged GTO with success? Do TR6's not fit these trucks ?

As mentioned above, a BR6EF is a non projected TR6. Non projected is better for boost. Below 10-12 psi a 6 should be fine, if more then that on pump gas I would go to a 7. (General rule) you still should read the plugs to see how they are burning.

Non-projected tip dissipates heat better because of the shorter ground strap. Gap should be 0.03-0.035" for your setup. I run 0.035" and haven't had a problem.

Non-projected tip on the left, projected on the right. (not my photo, I stole it)

I find it difficult to think that shorter ground strap in a combustion chamber that has a high compression explosion going off like every half of a second going down the road at 2000 +/- rpms is going to run cooler enough to make difference...but what do I know?

If it were my setup, I'd run a BR7EF and learn how to read your plugs.

the 7 is a colder plug right? This is a daily driver that sees -* temps if that maters.

At 8 psi, and a typical/conservative tune, there is no way you will need a plug that is 2 steps colder than stock (the 7). Stick with the BR6EF and you'll be just fine, and not have any issues.

If you ever decide to get aggressive with the tune, and crank up the boost, then things change.
