Single Cat After Downpipe?

Single Cat After Downpipe?
Anyone running a single cat after the downpipe? Does it get hot enough to be effective?
My "plan" is to run a 3.5" down pipe, into a 3.5" electric cutout. With the cutout closed the exhaust will go into a single 3.5" universal cat, then into a single 3.5" in/out muffler, and dump it out the side in front of the rear tire. I'm hoping to cut down on fumes and not draw too much attention here in CA. If I want attention then I can just open the cutout
Thoughts?

Magnaflow makes some, not sure how effective they are though. There are a lot of fuzz in my area. I'd hate to pull up next to a cop and have him/her get a face full of gas fumes.

Yea I had 2 of the 3" version of that installed and it didnt change the sound at all....whenever I get pulled over I just turn off the truck. If they ask why I just say I dont want to waste gas ideling.

Im running catless longtubes, then i have about 12" of pipe that i plan on replacing w a cutout, then an 09+ third cat, followed by a 24" magnaflow, into two tips. Its really quiet until i really get on it hard and I can only smell the exhaust for the first 15 sec of a cold startup. I live in cali too so the quieter the better, when i want it loud ill just open up the cutout.
