If the system has very little backpresure ratio it doesn't really matter, but if there is a lot you will want a late exhaust valve open event. The events matter a lot more than duration.

With the s480 you want have a huge amount of back pressure.
And really like others have mentioned. If the cam works well with na it will work good with turbo. The converter will need to match the cam as well.
