With the Boost Cooler product from Snow Performance, it also produces additional oxygen during the burn. That in turn will give a lean a/f. I won't mess with it.

A kid at the track runs it in his cobra. He dosen't have slicks, so his E.T didn't change much but I watched him pour it in and go from 108mph to 113mph He is running like 17LBS! The track is @ 5000'. So mabe he gets lucky.

OK, briefly, DO NOT RUN NITRO IN YOUR MOTOR.

Heres a FEW of the reasons...(some were mentioned)

1. VERY corrosive, you need a separate fuel system for it. It WILL eat through your factory lines, if you were to mix it in the gas tank.

2. Nitro is very difficult to ignite, harder than kerosene or deisel.

3. When it does ignite (given the fuel mixture is more nitro than anything else), it burns at aprox. 1400 deg F. Way to hot for your valvetrain.

4. People have run it in their cars, with modded motors, but there are a few things that have become somewhat "standard"...

you only see a benefit when running a mix of 30% nitro, 70% methanol. Anything more than that nitro just introduces way too much oxygen into the comb. chamber, and performance drops. Also, going beyond that 30% mix surpasses the ignition system, now you have to figure out how to burn the crap.

I am not saying that you can't use it, but you will need major tuning

And sprayed like meth as a boost cooler, , its just more expensive, and meth is more friendly to all the functions of combustion.

Just my .02

LS1Tech had a great thread about it. Hold on...
