Steps to going turbo questions

It looks like you have a good list going there, but the main factor in how long your tranny will last it how you drive. I have the same hard upgrades and it's almost a year around 10,000 miles with a turbo and the tranny still breaks the the tires loose in 1-2 and 2-3 shifts without any problems.
You also need to address the tranny programing when you get tuned so it can last a little longer.
If you are looking for a tranny cooler, take a look at some a/c condensers they work very well and you can get massive sizes such as 16"x24" or larger.

I've had FI on my truck since 68,000 miles, 1st procharger and now turbo both running 10 psi. stock tranny with shift kit, accumulator piston, servos ect. no TM. I now have 85,000 miles on the truck and tow with it
Maybe im one of the lucky ones but, but my tranny has never skipped a beat

i agree with all of the above. I still have the stock tranny and I know that its going to go. I have the sts t60 kit with the regulator. The wastegate has a 7lb spring. If you don't have the tranny, get the 5lb spring and just ride with it. Trust me If you get the boost controller, You will play with it. This coming from a hp addict. I have had mine on my truck for 7 months and so far no real problems but just keep in mind. The stock 4l60E really wasn't made for the hp in the stock motor so with upgrades, thats the less life you have in the tranny.
