Do you have a BOV? It is important with a manual trans to help keep the turbo spinning higher during shifts.

i do have a bov, i dont know if the 60-1 turbo is small for the lq4 to not make it boost, but in some runs it does hit 12 psi as how i set it on the controller, i know im loosing torque with a smaller turbo but it boosts better with the manual tranny.

I used to make 12 psi all the time with an A4 running a 60-1. The difference is that the A4 keeps the turbo loaded during shifts and the boost stays up. I even get a bit of a boost spike during shifts.

my stock 6.0 lq9 in the denali at 10psi ran 7.75, with a 1.74 60s, then a week later i poped a piston..lol

You will be WAY out of the range for that turbo on a 6.0L @12psi. A 70mm turbo would be good at 10~12psi and be ok with the stock pistons if your tune is spot on.

I've ran mine at 13.5psi from time to time with lots of meth, no broken pistons yet, I wouldn't run it there too often though!

i ran my cammed lq9 to 12psi with a pt70gts, estimated 646 to the ground, (AWD), truck went 12.27 @ 111 rolling out not on boost, so far so good on the motor, knock knock, motors on borrowed time at that level though. Truck weighs 6000 lbs with me in it!

60-1 is a bit small. although I've ran one...
