Transmission Tuning We do not supply a TCM or ECM tune. Please understand that proper tuning of the TCM and ECM are mandatory. All 6L80’s are torque base shifted units. The torque signal is calculated thru the ECM. Therefore, transmission performance & longevity are directly dependent on the delivered torque signal that’s calculated in the ECM. If this is not done properly, you will experience premature transmission failure. We also do not recommend maxing out pressures or deleting torque management completely because it will cause seal failure and/or hard part breakage. Please contact us for tuner recommendations. A review of final tune and final log files is included. Once your final tune and log reviews meet our requirements we will document this in our records for warranty purposes. Please only drive the vehicle for tuning purposes until this process is completed.

Tunng so critical, mine lasted stock as long as it did bc of tuning. Also log your fuel pressure if your having shifting issues, my solenoid vent valve was acting up and caused mine to shift odd I only caught it bc it was super slow to take fuel.

I just had my 6l80 rebuilt by Circle D. Truck is a 6.2 with BW S475 at 12# on E85. The 6 speed lasted about a year at 12#. It burned up 3-5-R clutches and 4-5-6 clutches. Went with a "stage 2" build. Customer service at Circle D has been great. Glenn is super responsive on the phone and kept me pretty well updated on the progress.

I should have mine to Glenn for that stage 4 in three to four weeks.
