Julio said anywhere that sells VP race fuels has Meth, said its not advertised very well, i found a distributer 15 mins away which makes me happy LOL.

He also said there is a " meth supplier" registry state to state on turbobuick dot com .

Also said that in a pinch or last resort, you can go to vato zone and get " HEET", comes in small yellow bottles and is pure meth, but its pricey to buy this way.

Also ( too lazy too look back , im on my phone) never run meth that has a lubricant ( oil) in it or meth that has been contaiminated by contact with gasoline.

Hope to have my kit next week, i will put up some install pics for those who are new ( like me ) to meth haha.

 

straight meth here. my tuner who has many 1k whp setups on the road suggested it. in our area its readily available and cheap 3.50 to 4.00 a gallon. i get mine from the dirt track guys, cheaper filling up a gas can then it is buying a 5 gallon pail from vp. im on my 3rd 5 gallon can. i have a alky control kit, the ramp comes on fast, and is turned high with the gain **** at about 3-3.5 i put it to 4 if its really hot out. we are tuned to 10.8 afr on 13#s

 

when i used to run it on my cobalt, i found that a 90/10 {meth to water} mix yielded the best results. mixed it in one gallon jugs with purified water. the meth used was vp. used a bit of the M5 mix towards the end of my methanol fun. nothing like a little nitro-methane kick.

 

Anyone happen to know where they sell straight meth in the Houston area?

Damn, that's like 60 miles away. I'm in the Baytown area.

 

There is a dirt track at Baytown and a lot of dirt cars run it. The track probable sells it or someone around there does, I'm sure.

We used to use 50/50 water meth years ago, and then started testing 100% M1 Meth (VP) with much better (more power, less detonation), and consistant results. Water is not combustable, and also can not be compressed so it can cause a slight increase in CR which can actually cause detonation, but it also can cool the combustion temperature offsetting that resulting in no gain with a turbo/supercharger application, water injection in my opinion is better suited for nitrous in which the VE is decreased and not increased to give a slight increase to VE and cool the combustion temperature at the same time. So, we use straight meth on everything (turbo/supercharger), as well as we also reccomend and use Alky Control. See my build thread for our project truck with Alky Control meth kit install (dual nozzle, 2 gallon resevoir, progressive controller, led's for "low meth" and "meth active") for anyone looking for ideas. I am just stating information based on my experience, take it as you will.
