Default STS Exhaust?

The truck is alittle on the loud side, the way my tailpipe is setup theres not much room for a muffler. Which muffler would be the best flowing to put in front of the turbo? Unless there is some way to quiet it down besides that?

Thanks

I was looking at the aero turbine muffler. it seems to be pretty free flowing.

make sure what ever muffler you use it is a baffle style rather than packing. I installed mine on the other side of the axle after the turbo....

I cut a old ford 3.5" diesel tail section up to make a stock exit exhaust with no muffler. Much quieter than dumped. A 3"muffler choked my set up to much.

i personally have never liked chambered mufflers, have always been a magnaflow guy.. cant see how a chambered muffler that slows down exhaust flow can be called performance enhancing

I am running a Magnaflow dual 3" in / single 4" out in front of my turbo with a 4" tail pipe. It is a system I got from Grippy for an '03 1500HD. I just split it in two and put the turbo in the middle. Does tend to drone a little at 2500 rpm and I seem to have a lot less turbo whistle. Works for me.

I know magnaflow has some straight through designs, but it still has alot of packing that can absorb water. this aero muffler has no packing and is from what I can see a better flowing muffler beacause of the high pressure low pressure chambers it supposedly helps scavenge exhaust gasses meaning it will still spool your turbo faster than a straight through muffler that just creates turbulance. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
