Until I get busted or live somewhere where the HOA has an issue, I'm keeping it as is!

No muffler here either and live in a mostly retired community!!! I know they don't like it when I go to work at 1-2-or3am. But I like the way it sounds.

See that is one problem that people have with "loud" cars and trucks. Not to single you out or anything Hotrod04, I have no problem with you in anyway, I'm just using your post as and example. I would never drive my truck through my neighborhood at 1,2 or 3am. I know that it would **** them off and I would be pissed off if some one did that to me. I used to live on the busiest street in town and I had to listen to cars go by all day and night and it does get old. This is why it is getting harder to drive a car/truck with a loud exhaust.

I guess the fact that the exhaust bill is back up for a vote in the House here in Mass is what is bringing this out. Sorry if I pissed anyone off or if anyone thinks that I am singling them out. Because I'm not.

Ok, so I thinkin about running BIG-50560FLT from summit and mounting it right up next to the heat shield above the axle. The dump part will be right into the spare, but I figure I won't have the spare on it and I can build a turn down and maybe an electric cut out for when I'm at the track or just screwing about town and then I can still have it quite for the highway trips. What do you all think.

So is it mainly the cats that make the factory exhaust so quiet or is it that big *** muffler? Anyone ever run the factory muffler with no cats? I am fabbing up a front mount system without cats but plan to use the factory muffler. Unlike most guys here, I want my truck to be as quiet as possible. Thoughts?
